Annual Concours & Crab & Shrimp Feast 2008
Well we really did dodge the bullet on the weather this year. After a few days reviewing the likelihood of calling a halt the green light was pressed Friday am , Yes I know you didn't know how close we were to postponement, but all the doubts were forgotten once the members starting to arrive. Food and drink really does act like a magnet as you can see from the pictures we had a superb range of Porsche's finest at our hosts Tom & Tile's home - even the ground was hard enough to drive on........ a total of 22 porsches with passengers braved the weather
Parking was exceptionally well organized this year, along with registration and waiver signing - Anthony & Jon being key so thanks very much. Sam & Cris (Dali) were enjoying being in the deep end of running the event catering services - didn't they do well with crabs, shrimp and meaty things - no complaint were heard. Bob Bloser sorted the alcoholic beverages - although we must ensure next time he gets Corona instead of Coors Light - yeap there is a difference - the lime doesn't taste as good in Coors !! Well Tile did find one use for the Coors - dampen down the flames on the BBQ ............

Jon brought out his newly acquired 1965 911 and Curtis's class winning 964 Turbo looked superb
Pam's Silver 911 in the foreground won the track class.

So who won the battles for class wins - well I can tell you that all the classes were extremely hard to select an overall winner, but we did succeed and Jon and John did the number crunching - so any problems it's their fault.......

Class C - 911 (65 to 83) & 912 --- Will Pyle - Silver 73 RS

Overall Concours Winner - Mark Weining 356 .......
