Executive Committee Meeting Minutes
May 25, 2010
The meeting began at 7:02 p.m. at Vince’s place of business.
Attending Scott Clabaugh, Sam Dali, Nick Dunlop, Bruce Grassano, Vince Crognale, Anthony Guzzo, Bob Bloser, and John Reader.
Minutes The April minutes were approved.
Finance Bob gave us an update, after income of $3881 and expenses of $1130.86 we have $23,946 in the money market account and $9,399 in the checking account. This leaves us with a total of $33,346.
Bob discussed the IRS letter asking for more detailed information about several activities. Bob will call and ask for more time to gather the requested information.
Europe Trip Nick gave us an update on the tour.
Autocross Bruce, the last autocross went well the next one is the 26th of June.
Cape May Bruce said that the wine tasting went well, 8 couples participated in the extensive tour and tasting.
DE Nick pointed out that the DE is not on the PCA website. Bruce will take care of it as it requires the president.
Speakers Sam, our new meeting coordinator, told us about the “Ask the Mechanic” night that he has planned for the next meeting. Gregg and Will have agreed to answer questions that members have about their Porsches.
Food Cost Bruce brought up the cost of food at the Clarion. They need at least 25 meals sold at each meeting to break even. They would like to club to make up the difference if the number sold is under 25. The Hilton is also a possibility for the meeting, they need at least 10 meals at $18 to cover expenses. Several other locations were discussed. Scott proposed that we agree on a month to month basis and guarantee 25 meals. The proposal was accepted.
Car Show Nick said that the possible dates for this years car show at Greenville Crossing are the 23rd and 30th of October.
Deutsche Classic Will be July 10th in Reading PA
Picnic Nick discussed the fall picnic at Hagley. He has selected the menu.
Phillies Night Vince told how Rita from Reisentöter told him about Phillies Night to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House. Vince will see how many tickets are available . tickets are $30 each with $17.50 going to the Ronald McDonald House. The dates are August 20th and September 8th.
Braille Rally Scott has received a check from Winner so the Rally is paid in full.
