Executive Committee Meeting Minutes
September 22, 2009
The meeting began at 7:25 p.m. at the Clarion Hotel The Belle in New Castle, DE.
Attending Anthony Guzzo, Will Pyle, Carl Thompson, Bob Bloser, Dave Dabell, Meghan Hannum, and John Reader.
Minutes The minutes from August were approved with a change. The item “Club Night” needs to change to “Exec Meeting.”
Finance Bob gave us an update, we have $29,000 and change in the money market account and $26,240 in the checking account. We have to make the final track payment of $25,440 on September 30th.
Polo Meghan gave us an update on the results of the polo event. Bob wrote a $600 check to the polo club, $500 for sponsorship and $100 admittance fee. There was another check for $140 for hats for the players. Meghan had $400 that was collected for admissions. The general feeling was that next year we should just go to the match and not sponsor it.
Newsletter The executive committee approved Bob’s proposed that Eric Andes’ ad not be continued in the newsletter for non-payment.
Calendar Nick asked us to approve paying $892 for 100 calendars from Bowman Printing. We decided to wait and have Bob and Carl look for a better deal.
October DE We were reminded that there is a meeting Friday evening.
Newsletter Anthony listed the articles needed for this months newsletter.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:25 p.m.
