Executive Committee Meeting Minutes

October 20, 2009

 

 

 

The meeting began at 7:15 p.m. at the Clarion Hotel The Belle in New Castle, DE.

 

Attending Anthony Guzzo, Bob Bloser, Mark Weining, Jon Walton, Eric Andes, Meghan Hannum,  Carl Thompson, Vince Crognale, Dave Dabell, Sam Dali, Bruce Grassano, Nick Dunlop, and John Reader.

 

Minutes The minutes from September approved.

 

Finance Bob gave us an update, we have $27,012  in the money market account, about  $6,500  in the checking account and we are due $5,085 from Motorsports. reg. This will bring us up to $38,597 total. $1,670 of this is allocated for the Boys and Girls Club of Delaware.

 

Bob also handed out a summary of the finances for the Thunderbolt DE.

 

50^th Calendar Nick asked the committee to decide on how many calendars should be purchased. After discussion we approve $1,000 for calendars.

 

50^th Celebration Mark asked what plans we have for celebrating our 50^th anniversary. The 2009 holiday party is the kick off. The 2010 holiday party is at the Simeone museum, Nick is looking into an alternative location for the fall picnic and a run to Germany including a Porsche factory tour, a Mercedes factory tour, and a run on the Nurbergring.

 

CG Lock The inventor has offered us $5 off  and $5 to the club for every lock purchased using our code. Nick proposed that we place an ad in Panorama and make a little money for the club. Nick will look into it.

 

Greenville Car Show Nick asked people to send him an email to preregister for the show.

 

Awards Nick asked for suggestions for the awards at the holiday party.

 

Menu Carl asked for suggestion for the general meeting menu.

 

Charity Bruce and Jon discussed a charity as an alternative to the Boys and Girls Club or in addition to.

 

Printer Bob will email Scott about the printer promised to the Delaware association for the Blind.

 

Newsletter Anthony listed the articles needed for this months newsletter.

 

Website Updates are needed for the DE and car show articles.
