Executive Committee Meeting Minutes
May 19, 2009
The meeting began at 7:13 p.m. at the Clarion Hotel The Belle in New Castle, DE. This meeting place was arranged by Carl and Nick to see if it would be a suitable place for future executive meeting and club nights.
Attending Bob Bloser, Sam Dali, Anthony Guzzo, Nick Dunlop, Paul Eves, Bruce Grassano, Carl Thompson, and John Reader.
October DE Nick talked about promoting the DE to other clubs.
Minutes The minutes from April were approved.
Finance Bob has opened a money market account with an initial deposit of $29,000 which leaves about $800 in the checking account. There is $400 in the budget for Will Pyle’s picnic, $500 for prizes for the polo match, and $800 for crabs and shrimp at the annual picnic at Tom and Tile’s.
Next month we will discuss how much to budget for the holiday party.
Speakers Nick will talk to Alex about someone from Winner Porsche about a club night speaker or technical session at Winner’s. Carl will ask Will Pyle if he is interested in giving a presentation and Bob will ask Les Tronzo if he can get one of the tire representatives to talk to us about tires.
Events Five up-coming events were discussed:
- The picnic at Will Pyle’s June 6th. Carl will bring a ¼ keg.
- Wings and Wheels July 18th.
- The tour to Twin Lakes Brewery June 20th.
- “Welcome Home the Troops Car Show” sponsored by the Department of Veterans Affairs August 1st and the Elsmere Veterans Hospital.
- Deutche Classic on July 11th, Nick will ask Jon to lead it again this year.

Newsletter Articles were discussed for the next newsletter including; anniversaries, new members, the trip to Cape May, the picnic a Will’s, Bruce’s trip to the Porsche Museum, a Wings and Wheels teaser, auto cross, polo, Welcome home the troops at the VA, and something about Winner by Alex.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:04 p.m.
After the meeting we were given a tour of the facilities at the Clarion including meeting rooms, the ball room, the patio, semi-private rear parking, and one of the rooms. Everyone was favorably impressed.
