Executive Committee Meeting Minutes
March 24, 2009
The meeting began at 6:52 p.m. in Greenville, DE
Attending Carl Thompson, Jon Walton, Sam Dali, Bruce Grassano, Mike Skorup, Nick Dunlop, Mark Weining, Vince Crognale, Bob Bloser, Anthony Guzzo, Dave Dabell, A. K. Kissell, and John Reader.
Minutes The minutes from February were approved.
Finance The balance is $18,546 and without the 2008 financial report from Stover Bob still cannot file forms 990 for tax exempt status and form 1044.
Events The Twin Lakes event on June 20th has been cancelled. Carl will reschedule.
Winner Porsche wants to host an event when their remodeling is finished.
A. K. informed us that the Wilmington and Western Railroad is interested in hosting an event, maybe next year for our 50th anniversary.
Meeting Place Carl suggested that the Clarion (old Ramada Inn) on I-295 could be an alternative meeting place for either a regular club night or and Executive Committee meeting. Jon brought up several alternative places such as Fitzgerald’s or Deerfield. Bruce, Sam and Carl were appointed to a subcommittee to look into alternate meeting places.
October DE Jon asked for approval to use $66 to purchase phone conference service. This is to be used as an alternative to meetings for planning for “Feel the Thunder.” Several people questioned the price, 11 cents a minute including 1-800 calling seems too low to be possible. Jon will check into and let us know.
PA System Dave demonstrated the portable PA system that he purchased for $374.
Newsletter Articles were assigned for the next newsletter. Dave will do Autocross, Mike the April speaker, Chris O.G. Racing, Jon Driver Education, Scott the Braille Rally, and Nick the presidents piece.
50th Logo Nick informed us that there have been 4 or 5 submitted and that he would like each member of the executive committee to enter.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:03 p.m.
