Executive Committee Meeting Minutes
June 23, 2009
The meeting began at 7:08 p.m. at the Clarion Hotel The Belle in New Castle, DE.
Attending Jon Walton, Anthony Guzzo, Meghan Hannum, Sam Dali, Mike Skorup, Bob Bloser, Paul Eves, A. K. Kissell, Carl Thompson, Mark Weining, Dave Dabell, Nick Dunlop, and John Reader.
Minutes The minutes from May were approved.
Finance The initial deposit in the money market account has grown to $29,002. We have $2,279 in the checking account.
October DE Jon gave us an update. 25 people have signed up and paid which more than covers the $10,000 deposit on the track. Jon asked everyone to promote our DE when they are at other events after they have asked for permision to do so. Nick and Vince will talk to Dr. Simeone about him bringing his 917 to demo at lunch time. Nick also asked me to bring the Tesla.
Events Six up-coming events were discussed:

- Autocross
- Deutsche Classic
- New Member Social
- Twin Lakes Brewery ???
- Welcome Home the Troops Car Show
50th Logo Nick passed some of the entries around and asked us to submit ours.
Polo Meghan gave us an update. The match will start at 3pm on Sunday August 16th. We will meet at Lantana Shopping Center and leave at 2:15 for the polo field. The polo club would rather receive $500 to cover general expenses than get trophies. They will also receive hats for the players and VIPs. We get $18 per person or $25 per car load. There will be socializing at the Whip Tavern after the match.
Website Paul expressed concern about the website. He feels that it is taking too long to be updated with pictures about events. Steve Cohen does not seem to have much time for the web site. We need to talk to Cris. Does he need help or even a replacement. Meghan said that she could help.
Club Night Speaker Mike tried to get the Pirelli guy but was turned down.
Dinner Menu Carl asked for selections for a limited dinner menu for club night.
Newsletter Articles were discussed for the next newsletter including; polo, The Deutsche Classic, Wings and Wheels, New Member Social, Riesentöter autocross charity event, President’s notes, and the concours and crab fest at Tom’s.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:12 p.m.
