Executive Committee Meeting Minutes
April 21, 2009
The meeting began at 7:02 p.m. in Greenville, DE
Attending Scott Clabaugh, Carl Thompson, Sam Dali, Mark Weining, Nick Dunlop, Bob Bloser, Anthony Guzzo, Tom Holmes, Dave Dabell, Vince Crognale, and John Reader.
Minutes The minutes from March were approved.
Finance Bob received the records from Stover including the payment from National. The balance is $25,613. Bob now has all the materials needed to fill out the federal form 990EZ for tax-exempt status. He said it might take a while to figure everything out.
Newsletter ad rates were discussed and the committee decided that there is no need to adjust rates or seek out new advertisers.
Speakers There are two speakers scheduled for the May club night; Tom Zaffarano, our PCA Zone 2 representative and Bruce Grassano who has pictures of the new Porsche Museum.
Jon and Nick talked to Winner Porsche about a tech session at Winner for one of the club nights. They will keep us posted.
Events Five up-coming events were discussed:
- The drive up to the Hershey Swap Meet Saturday April 25th leaves Winner at 8 am.
- The Braille Rally is Sunday April 26th.
- The drive to Lewes with a ferry ride to Cape May on May 16th.
- Porsches at Pimlico May 3rd.
- The picnic at Will Pyle’s June 6th.
Braille Rally Scott talked about the Braille Rally and handed out an expense tracker. Anticipated club expenses are $394.
Meeting Place Carl described his trip to the Clarion (old Ramada Inn) on I-295. They have spent quite a lot fixing it up and have three meeting rooms of various sizes, good food, and plenty of parking. Carl will see what kind of deal he can get for an Executive Committee meeting.
October DE Nick talked about promoting the DE to other clubs.
