Executive Board Meeting Minutes

September 23, 2008

This month’s meeting was strictly about our DE event on October 10-12 in N.J. The meeting was held in Greenville, DE and began at 7:00 p.m.

Attendants: Nick Dunlop, Bruce Grassano, Stover Babcock, Jane Fox, Liz Reid, Dave

DaBell, Anthony Guzzo, Mike Skorup, Mark Weining, Jon Walton, Scott

McKeown, Carl Thompson, Eric Andes, Vince Crognale, Bob Bloser, and

                     John Ambriano.

Registration: We currently have 164 registarnts, a small waiting list in Green group, and

a few slots yet to fill in Blue/Yellow (signed off driver), White, and Black groups.

.  At this point, we are more than going to break even and be able to put on a great

event. The NJMP track will do control for us. The registration package will be

distributed to registrants via the web in October. John Ambriano will summarize

NJMP rules, and Nick will look over N.J.’s Chapter 62 rules to see what is

relevant for this event. Bob will add the workers’ assignments to the registration

package. Scott McKeown will be in charge of Staging and Pits. Jane will be in

            charge of registration.

Signage:  Nick has it all done and may need some help putting them up Thursday eve.

Banquets: Jon has secured a nice buffet for Saturday night with a bartender. Jon is also

in charge of the Charity Laps to be run during lunch on Saturday and Sunday. The

total monies taken in will be divided between the Delaware Assoc. for the

Blind and the Boys & Girls Club in Wilmington, DE.

Taste of the Track: John Ambriano is in charge of this event that is for those not Regis-

tered who want to get a feel for the event by attending classroom sessions,

Morning Drivers’ meetings, and getting one track session as a passenger with

an Instructor driving during regular group run sessions.

We are leaning towards charging $50 per person for this. We will aim to

advertise this during the day Saturday and offer this event on Sunday.

The entire group thanked Stover for all of his hard work on putting this event together. Meeting adjourned at 9:00 p.m.
