Executive Committee Meeting Minutes
January 22, 2008
Meeting began at 6:55 p.m. in Greenville, DE
Attendants: Nick Dunlop, Bruce Grassano, Jane Fox, Liz Reid, Bob Bloser, Carl
Thompson, Scott Clabaugh, Sam Dali, A.K. Kissell, Anthony Guzzo,
Mark Weining, Mike Skorup, and Vince Crognale.
Monthly General Meetings: February 13 at Overture on Rte. 202. DVDs will be shown in
various rooms. Terry M. will get wine and drinks. We will get sandwiches, crisps,
finger foods for approximately 40 people.
March meeting may be held either at Deerfield Country Club or
Hercules C.C. Carl and Ed Moore to check on these venues.
Calendar Items: Twin Lakes Brewery Tour (Brew ‘n Q) - More than likely we will begin a
tour around 1 p.m. on a Saturday and get to the brewery around 3 p.m. There
will be a tasting of the beers, and food may be a pig roast or big pit beef.
Terry M. from Overture may be an invited guest.
New Members’ Social - April 5 10-2 at Winner. Southern Social? Carl to
Speak with Chip and Paul H. to discuss the possibility, then where and when?
St. Michael’s Tour - End of April? Bruce to contact Chamber of Commerce.
Cape May/Lewes Tour & Ferry Ride – May ¾ beginning in New Castle
County, then picking up Southern members, going over on the ferry, and
Staying overnight in Cape May.
Will Pyle’s Picnic – Pig roast? June 21?
Wings & Wheels – July 19 at Dover AFB
Crab feast and Concours at McKenna’s – Sept. 27?
Vineyard visiting ?
Eastern Shore of MD open lighthouse weekend event?
Porsches & Horses: Porsches at Pimlico, Central PA region’s annual polo event, and
Delaware region to possibly sponsor the last match of the Brandywine
Polo group.
Braille Rally: Scott Clabaugh is working with Renée O’Leary and the Aldermans get
donations and support. Checkpoint and food workers are an issue at this time.
What will be the new logo? This is the 39th year. Next year may be a big deal
for the 40th anniversary. Possible dates for this year are Sept. 28 or October 19.
Holiday Party: Mendenhall Inn in the Gold Ballroom; a bigger venue. Possible dates are
December 5 or 10. We may speed up how steal-a-gift is done.
Guest Speakers: Panamera Introduction, How To on Club racing by Tom Holmes, a detail
demo, Doug Richmond at his shop, personal Porsche stories on a rotating
basis at the monthly meetings. These are all possibilities for upcoming
general monthly meetings.
Newsletter: 12 pages for first class in the current format. February’s issue will contain the
President’s Message, Nick’s quiz, more info on the Web Store, New Mem-
bers’ Social, the meeting at Overture, and membership data.
Website: February brings good things like the Web Store finally up and running as
well as Steve Cohen helping out Cris, whose time is currently limited.
Treasury: Terri Suddard to possibly do our audit.
