Executive Committee Meeting Minutes

February 19, 2008

 

Meeting began at 7:00 p.m. in Newark, DE

Attendants:  Nick Dunlop, Bruce Grassano, Jane Fox, Liz Reid, Bob Bloser, Carl

                       Thompson, Scott McKeown, Sam Dali, A.K. Kissell, Anthony Guzzo, 

                      Mark Weining, Mike Skorup, Stover Babcock, and Paul Eves.

 

 

Motorsport:     Thunderbolt DE with Chesapeake Region – Our people on the committee are

                        Scott M., Scott C., Stover, Jon W., and Tom Holmes. There will be a March

                        meeting then an April meeting at the track. Dates for the event are October 10-

                        12. We will need volunteers. Stover is the Registrar and registration should be

                        open this spring.

 

                        Autocross -  We hope to work with BMC to put on a few autocrosses this year

                        starting May 11 at Keene Elementary School by the police barracks off Rte. 40.

                        We would provide the insurance, some workers, and drivers. Ed Prunckun may

                        be the Del. Region liaison. We would try to make a contribution to the  school or school district for allowing us to use their property.

 

Monthly General Meetings:   March 12, 2008 at Deerfield Country Club in Newark from 6:30-

                           9 p.m. Brad Winton from Morgan Stanley will speak about Porsche and their

                        financials.

                        Possible meeting place is Doug Richmond’s auto body shop in Newark.

                        Possible speakers for meetings are our own members speaking of personal

                        Porsche stories and Les Tronso coming with Pirelli Tire man.

 

Calendar Items:  Twin Lakes Brewery Tour -  Saturday, July 12? Date, time, and how exactly

                            the event will run will be discussed further next month.

   

                           New Members’ Social -  April 5 10-2 at Winner. Southern Social to perhaps

                            be in the fall at Overture’s in Lewes.

 

                           Cape May/Lewes Tour & Ferry Ride – May 3-4 beginning in New Castle

                            County, then picking up Southern members, going over on the ferry, and

                            staying overnight in Cape May. We are going to feel out the members to see

                            if they want to do an overnight event. Paul Eves in charge.

                            

Treasury:         Executive board costs are down. We currently have over $23,000 in cash. We are

                          going to be getting $500 back from PCA due to membership business.. Stover is

                        looking for more advertisers.
