Executive Committee Meeting Minutes

April 22, 2008

 

Meeting began at 7:10 p.m. in Greenville, DE

Attendants:  Nick Dunlop, Jane Fox, Liz Reid, Carl Thompson, Sam Dali, A.K. Kissell, 

                      Anthony Guzzo, Mark Weining, Mike Skorup, Dave Dabell, Vince Crognale,

                       Jon Walton, and Stover Babcock.

 

Deutsche Classic All German Car Show:   Jon Walton is going to lead a tour to this event

                        outside of reading, PA on July 12, 2008. $15pp includes entrance fee, food, etc.

                        Write-up in newsletter.

                       

Monthly General Meeting:     May 14, 2008 at the Newark Country Club. Stover to speak on

                                                Track Events.

                                              

Motorsport:     Thunderbolt DE in October. We are hooked up with PayPal.  Steve Cohen and

                        Jon W. are looking into hotels. Bruce may lead a tour to see the site on Sunday

                           as part of Day 2 of the Cape May/Lewes event. Bruce needs to prearrange this

                           with Stover first to gain access to the track.

 

                        Autocross -  Dave DaBell said that the course is all laid out and will be two

                         laps with an approx. run time of one minute. Looking into trophies, but most

                        likely will be glasses with silkscreen logos of PCA and BMC. Nick will be an

                        official observer on May 11, 2008.

 

Scavenger Rally:      Paul Harriott said that the leg work is done, but more publicity is needed.

                                 $20/car. A direct email blast especially to the Southern contingency is

                                 needed.

 

Insurance Forms and Process:    Nick is going to write an article in the newsletter about

                                                    running events and the insurance procedure for said events.

 

Trophies:     A.K. Kissel will look into getting the Concours Trophy refurbished with some

                      plaque changes. Stover will look into getting the Driver of the Year Trophy 

                      refurbished with new plaques.

 

Items for next month by Jon:  September 20, 2008  Day For Kids at Riverfront wants a car

                                                    show. PCA event or not?

 

                                                Mason-Dixon Rally connecting drivers from Philly to D.C.

                                                will be a scavenger rally and BBQ sponsored by Jon.

 

                                                Dyno Day for Charity   TBD
