Delaware PCA - Executive Meeting

Participants: Anthony Guzzo, Stover Babcock, Jane Fox in Conference, Carl Thompson, Jon Walton, Mark Weining, Pam Prunckun, Scott McKeown, Bob Bloser, Vince Crognale.
Survey Results
• 35 out of 180 members have responded to date
• Tech sessions drew high interest
• Members want monthly meeting and good speakers would likely increase their attendance
• Interest in monthly social
• Interest in tours
• Only 5 responses from southern Delaware; need remains to connect
• Survey did not inquire about participant chosen methods of communications, such as use of Del Region internet site, Der Auspuff, email lists, other form of club communications methods
• Stover will work on enlarging southern participation (will contact Chip Clapp and at least one other member from that area to help this effort).*
Financial Review--Stover went over the 2006 Financial Performance
• VIR again was a money-maker ($6500) in ‘06
• 50% of DE profits were used for members socials, parties
• 50% to build up bank acct. (cd’s,etc.); Stover is doing a great job manipulating the cd’s and making our assets grow
Track Report—Scott
• HPDC July 14, Sat. (or 15) with max of 39 students (requires 29 instructors). Will contact other regions for instructors; promo for students also*
• Looking into other tracks; sponsoring with other region (Thunderbolt, Summit Point) during 2007 or 2008 season*
Weekend Trips—Vince
• Will lead group to Watkins Glen, weekend after Labor Day for Vintage Grand Prix; 10 Hotel rooms have been booked in Holiday Inn.
• Will also lead group to Rennsport Reunion III Nov 2-4, Daytona. 917, 962 Porsches will be featured. Vince spoke with James Redman (Brian’s son), who suggested a meeting of Porsches in Daytona and an entrance to the field. Carl will look into rooms near the beach.*
• Jon Walton will be leading a group to the U.S. Grand Prix in Indy
Zone 2 VIE DE - Jon
• Event is full; price of $345 is bargain compared to other regions / clubs
Membership - Carl
• New Members Social in March - possible dates are 3/3 (1st choice), 10 (2nd) or 24 (3rd).
• Carl will check with Winner for best date for them*
• Jon will verify if his facility would be available as a back-up*
• Will advocate for mentors for new members; enlist Alex?*
February General Meeting
• Old Country Buffet: Feb. 17, 8:00 a.m.—social
• Jon will lead a drive afterwards if weather is nice*
• No speakers scheduled; talk about VIR, HPDC, etc., upcoming New Members Social

• Anthony will assemble the Feb issue, as Jane hopes to be moving back in their house
• Deadline for submittals is end of day Sunday Jan 28
• Bob will investigate bulk mailing options to reduce cost*
