Executive Committee Meeting Minutes

December 18, 2007

 

Meeting began at 6:50 p.m. in Greenville, DE

Attendants:  Nick Dunlop, Bruce Grassano, Stover Babcock, Liz Reid, Bob Bloser, Carl

                       Thompson, Paul Eves, Sam Dali, A.K. Kissell, Anthony Guzzo, Don McKeown,

                      Mark Weining, Mike Skorup, and Vince Crognale.

 

 

Forms:          Report and Continuity forms for 2007 and 2008 need to be sent to PCA, but some

                       history needs to be clarified first. We need to get the original and newest

                       incorporation forms. We also need to start using the correct EIN for the IRS.

 

Membership:  Panoramas need to be sent down to the Southern contingency. What can we do to

                           help new members know more about who we are and what we do? We need

                         photos and contact numbers.  Carl is going to remake some business cards that we

                         can put on Porsche windshields or hand out. New Member Social is tentative for

                         April 5, 2008 at Winner.

 

Calendar Items:  Perhaps a catered pig roast at Will Pyle’s

                              Tour to and of Twin Lakes Brewery in mid-May

                              St. Michael’s Concours in the spring

                             Cape May-Lewes Ferry event tied into visiting Thunderbolt racetrack in May

 

Financial:      $25,600 between  checking acct. and CDs. Some outstanding bills exist. CDs begin

                          maturing in February 2008.

                        Audit/Review/Compilation needs to be done every two years? May be changing

                        By-Laws regarding this issue. Stover will speak to Mike Fox about getting this

                        done.

 

Goodie Store:   Mark Weining will manage this online store at this time. Clothing, bags, towels,

                              hats will be available with our region’s logo.

 

Board Chairmen:  Charity – Jon Walton     Social – Bruce, Vince C., Paul E., and Sam D.

                                 Braille Rallye – Scott Clabaugh, Renée, Nick, and George Alderman

                                 Racing – Scott McKeown, Stover, and Tom Holmes

Holiday Party:      80 folks attended the party at the Mendenhall Inn. Next year a bigger room is

                               needed. We will check the cost for a weekend party. Do we need a more      

                               southern locale?  Three folks will check for a different locale.

 

Guest Speakers:    Mike Skorup is in charge of speakers for the general meetings. He would like

                                people to email him ideas. Drivers, PCA Execs, Zone 2 Rep, historians, etc.

 

 

Kodak.com:       Anthony Guzzo will be asking Cris to launch a link for us with Delaware 

                             Region photos. All photos need an event name, date, and a key person’s name.

 

 

Newsletter:      Deadline for January newsletter is Dec. 26.  New President’s Address, ask for

                          region members to place car related classified ads, ask Jon Walton to write up

                          Toy Drive, ask for Southern contingency to write something, Bruce will ask

                          Alex Witham to do his usual Winner write up, Bruce will write about the Holiday

                          Party, and there will be teasers for the upcoming Goodie Store and Koda.com

                         website. 

 

Awards:          Driver of the Year award needs refurbishing. Concours Trophy is filled with

                               recipient names; what do we do?
