Board Meeting DE PCA

In Attendance: Anthony Guzzo, Bob Bloser, Carl Thompson, Mark Weining, Jane Fox, Pam Prunckun
Financial: Jane—more money than last month.
-Mark—VIR: huge success; $10,000 additional due to negotiations of Jon. About $6,000 will be received by each club. The Charity ride to raise money for colon cancer in the name of Lynn Eccles, a PCA award winner who passed away of this disease, raised $1100. It was suggested that each club in the zone contribute an additional $1000 from the VIR event. It was proposed that we donate an additional $250 to this fund.
Membership: Carl—Thirteen new members in Jan. and Feb.—total of 190. New Member Social May 12. Please plan to attend. Call Carl of you have a conflict.
General Mtg.:--mostly positive feedback for Newark Country Club. We have topics for May and June, but July, Aug.,and Sept. are up in air.
Southern Delaware Plan: Chip has annual party that he would like to host southern members. Paul Eves would like to lead tour to Wings-and-WheelsTour/ Car Show @ DAFB on Sat July 21
Social Events—Bruce: Wine Tour Sun May 20, ending up @ Buckleys
Picnic @ Will Pyle’s place on the Bay June 16
Sign-ups for both were in place at Wed. meeting
Tour to Hershey: Two places to meet. Mark has applied for insurance for group tour.
Track Report: HPDC—Chesapeake is taking the lead; no contract yet. Stover is also working on it.
-Thunderbolt:--FAA sign off; spring construction
Weekend Trips: Rennsport III—looking for sister hotel @ $20 more per night-recent renovation, but money up front.
Tech Session: April 21 by Chesapeake @ GT Performance, one exit south of Maryland House; Possible tech session w/Greg @ Winner June 9.
Newsletter: Guidelines discussed for length and content of Winner articles.
