Mark Weining opening comments.  Mark thanked the group for their support indicating how pleased he was with activities to date.  He reminded all that should anyone have any issues with the club matters, please bring them directly to him for discussion.  We are all volunteering our time and we need to interact in a way that maximizes the participation of all members.

New Member Social – Carl reported the event held at Winner was very successful and 14 new member attended. 

 

Dyno Days – Proceeds were $850 which will be set aside for the toy fund for the Boys and Girls Club.  Additionally Jim Becker (Zone 2) has committed an additional $300 for the toy fund.

Approval of May meeting note – Accepted.  It was decided that going forward the notes will go through this approval process before being posted on the Website.

 

Membership – Carl reported six new members were added in May.  Discussions included calling members whose membership was soon to expire. Carl will develop a list of Southern DE and MD members to be called for the two Southern Delaware events.

Membership – Carl reported five new members last month and will receive the details shortly.  Concern was expressed that total membership seems to remain constant with new members each month.  A fall new member social was discussed and Carl will put together some plans to be discussed.    September / October timeframe was discussed.& read more ...

Mark started the meeting with a moment of silence remembering Paul Obordorfer.  The committee agreed to make a club contribution to Paul’s favorite charity in the amount of $100.  Bob will work with Stover to make this happen.  Additionally AK will have a special award class at this years concours in Paul’s name.

Membership Report – Carl Thompson reported we have added 50 new members in 2005 and 30 additional in 2006.  In planning for the Nov 4^th new member social it was agreed to invite all these members.  Carl will prepare postcards and distribute.  The event will be from 10 AM until 2PM.

Mark opened the meeting by thanking Nick Dunlop (Vice President) and Pam Prunkin (Secretary) for stepping into the two positions.  Mark was re-elected President as was Stover as Treasurer.

 

Old Business

            Last month the committee had agreed to make a contribution to the Amish community after the recent event at the school.  Stover prepared a $200 check and AK will arrange delivery.< read more ...
