Delaware PCA Exec Meeting Notes – September 19, 2006

 

Attending

            Mark Weining,  Bob Bloser,  Carl Thompson, Nick Dunlop, Scott Claybaugh,  Cris Brady, AK, and Anthony Guzzo.

 

 

Approval of August meeting notes – Accepted.  (after adding Nick to list of attendees…)

 

Funding – Need to request funds from Winner to support the Braille Rally, the New Member Social and Fund Raising for the Boys and Girls Club of Wilmington.  Bob Bloser will begin draft of letter for John to take to Winner Porsche for that purpose.  Needs to be done ASAP.  Included will be offer to Winner for a no charge column in the Newsletter.  Scott needs the tee-shirts for the Braille Rally.

 

Membership – Three added and 4-5 were lost in renuals.  We need to contact those who have dropped off the list.  Carl continues planning of the second new member social.

 

Insurance Forms – We will be using insurance forms for both the concurs and the Braille Rally. 

 

Past Events –

-          Last month meeting was well attended – next meeting at McGlyns – May consider future exec meetings at Matildas.

-          Thunderbolt – Probably not open until 08 season.  Final approval expected very shortly.  Doug has given them dates for 10/14 – 10/15, mid to late June, and the 3^rd weekend in October.  Meeting was well attended.

-          Vintage Grand Prix – Great event with 18 people from the DE region – Nick won best of show.

-          Hagley – Jon will provide newsletter article.

 

Upcoming Events

-          Shrimp and Crabs – all set for 12PM start.  Currently have 72 people with 52 for crabs.  AK handling the concurs and all set with other logistics.

-          Braille Rally – Scott reported he had enough drivers – tee shirts being worked out – ok with insurance forms – PCA donation in hand – 1PM on October 1^st.

-          Club Race at Sumitt – Chip Clap, Mark, Tom and Mike Holms, and Gregg Wilson will represent DE at the Potomac Club Race.

-          October Meeting – Scott still looking to get the appraisal guy for a meeting.

-          Alderman shop tour – all set for October 21 – 10-2.

-          New Member Social – waiting the outcome of conversations with Winner as far as support.

-          Holiday Party – Nick still working on a location – Will take a look at Deerfield

-          Newsletter – Deadline – Monday September 25.

 

Financials – No report – Stover not present.

 

Track Events – Doug is continuing to work on a Spring HPDC.

 

Parade Earnings – Mark reported the income from the Porsche Parade in Hershey have been donated to the Hershey Children’s Hospital.  All were in agreement that this is the best destination for these funds.  The issue is closed.
