Delaware PCA Exec Meeting Notes – November 20, 2006
Attending
Mark Weining, Bob Bloser, Carl Thompson, Nick Dunlop, AK, Anthony Guzzo, Stover Babcock, Pam Prumpkin - via audio conference – Jon Walton and Jane Fox .
Mark opened the meeting by thanking Nick Dunlop (Vice President) and Pam Prunkin (Secretary) for stepping into the two positions. Mark was re-elected President as was Stover as Treasurer.
Old Business
Last month the committee had agreed to make a contribution to the Amish community after the recent event at the school. Stover prepared a $200 check and AK will arrange delivery.
Jon Waltons ride and drive event (not a PCA event) was discussed. The event was very successful and included almost 40 vehicles. All who attended were pleased – Jon will provide an article for the newsletter and next year will be planning additional events.
New Business
Meeting locations – Still looking – Going to have AK look into the German Club as a possibility.
Holiday Party – Nick reported we presently have 46 attending – Mark will have Scott check with George Alderman and Stromski (sp?). A final number needs to be communicated one week before the party.
- Chineese Auction – Mark will buy tickets
- Nick was authorized to purchase a $250 gift certificate from Winner as a door prize.
- Awards discussed and planned (not published in notes) - Enthusiast award was not resolved and Mark will solicit further input from the board members for this award.
- Carl agreed to distribute to each board member a list of names to call to try to improve attendance.
- Jon will bring the remaining supply of commerative wine glasses for consumption.
Toy Drive – Jon reported the Winner Porsche contribution is still not resolved and will check with Steve.
- Santas participation has been confirmed
- He will handle the collection of $300 in receipts for Jim Becker (Zone 2).
- Event will begin around 10AM at Winner with plans to drive to the Boys and Girls Club around noon.
- Mark re-iterated that we cannot accept the use of a car from Winner for this event. PCA Insurance concerns.
Future Event at Terry Menacker’s business. – Terry has indicated he is open to hosting a limited gathering at his 202 location which might include the “testing” of driver simulation equipment that he has on order. Was briefly discussed and might be a candidate location for future Exec Mtg.

Future Meetings
- Nick will confirm with Matildas for January
- Chris will check for February for a possible carting event.
December Planning Session – Mark would like to schedule a planning session in December – Let him know when you might be available.
